New and Improved FoodNetwork.com

This morning we officially launched the new foodnetwork.com with a lot of new great features. It had been around 5 years I believe since the last site redesign. Take a look and hopefully you’ll find something that is useful for you.

What search engine technology powers the foodnetwork search? I ask because I’m researching commercial and open source search engines to use in a web application my company is building and we really liked the way the facets/filters could be applied and removed from the search results. It looks a bit like some Endeca searches I’ve seen, but I’ve also seen some Solr implementations that had similar options.

Hey David the search is powered by Endeca. Good job! :)
